In search of a repeatable and disciplined process to best protect our clients’ capital, Counterpoint uses an entirely systematic approach to asset management. The investment process is designed to minimize the impact of manager behavioral biases on strategy execution.
Tactical Income SMA
Counterpoint Tactical Income SMA uses mean-variance portfolio optimization techniques to allocate to a diversified blend of passive and tactical funds across many asset classes. The strategy’s objective is to provide reasonable mid-high single-digit returns over the market cycle while keeping short term capital losses below the 5% level.
Tactical High Yield SMA
Counterpoint Tactical High Yield SMA uses systematic trend-following to seek the objective of earning reasonable income and growth while keeping short term capital losses below the 5% level. The strategy seeks to own high yield bond funds in a stable or rising high yield bond market. In a falling high yield bond market, it seeks to own money market or low duration US Treasury funds.
